Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School
Before coming to work at TJ I taught English for 5 years at another high school in DPS, and before that I taught for 4 years at a middle school in northern Virginia. I was born and raised in upstate New York, where the autumns are beautiful, and the winters are long and dark. I love to write poetry and stories, snowboard in the winter, and do most fun things outdoors. I will spare you the details about my affinity for hiking and camping–this is Colorado after all. I am a HUGE college basketball fan, so always looking forward to March Madness. I love to listen to music and go to shows at Red Rocks or at the Ogden (pre-covid that is). These days I spend most of my free time with my nose buried in a book. Need a book recommendation? Ask me!
